Wild Rosehip Cream
Ingredients: Wild rosehip oil, water, rosewater, shea butter, mango butter, glycerine, emulsifying wax, cetyl alcohol, vitamin E, rosehip seed oil, raspberry seed oil, optiphen plus.
If you are using an oil with a cream, always apply the cream first. The oil will help lock the moisture in from the cream and will be absorbed easier.
In 2020, I had collected and dried rosehips in the autumn and after drying I emulsified them in avocado oil. I followed all the instructions and let them sit in a warm dark place. Each day I’d take them out and give them a little shake and think good and loving thoughts. A little love and a little shake daily seemed like a dorky thing to do but I read that intentions were important, so I did that. This is the same year that we all were feeling overwhelmed and traumatized but even more so for me it seemed. I had lost my dad and brother within months of each other and somehow pouring my love into a jar felt like a relief. A place for love to go. The following summer I started my apothecary business and rosehip cream was one of my first products that I made and sold. People loved it and kept coming back for more. I thought maybe I had bewitched it… all that love was coming back to me. Over the years as I have learned more, I’ve changed the recipe. I’ve made it better in so many ways but the most important two ingredients, wild rosehips and loving intentions will always remain the same.
Rosehips are high in vitamin C and antioxidants making them a natural remedy for age related issues such a fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration and age spots. They naturally brighten the skin and assist in locking in moisture.
